  We'd tried to come here once before but they had been closed unexpectedly. Seeking dessert after a lunch, we tried again. Yes! Open.
  
  The house is charming -- from the early 1900's. It was formerly a rectory -- the house provided for a minister to live in near his church. It is decorated with some whimsy. It's perfect as a tea house. There's seating outside on a wrap around porch, but it was a steamy Florida day, so we opted to sit in the air conditioned inside.
  
  Through the room where we sat is the area where you order your tea. They have a lot of types of tea leaf blends in large jars. And they ask you hot or iced, do you like florals, etc., to help narrow your choices down.
  
  Unfortunately they have no black teas that are decaffeinated only herbal teas. And as some green teas don't sit well with me, I didn't want to take a chance. I then smelled a couple of the regular black teas and wound up choosing a white tea that had a nice scent. Did you know that white teas have the most antioxidants of all the teas?
  I figured that with the additional ice cubes watering down the tea, I wouldn't have to worry about too much caffeine.
  
  They also ask if you want honey or agave in your tea. I figured agave would be the better sweetener combination. After you order,  they give you a stanchion with a number on it. They deliver your tea (and anything else) to you at your table
  
  In addition to our teas, we decided to split a piece of coconut cake. They have a lot of homemade desserts from which to choose. This cake was absolutely delicious. It has a bit of lemon inside, too. I know my husband would have absolutely loved this cake. Coconut is one of my favorite flavors so that helped me get over the fact that I really didn't like my iced tea. After a few sips, I threw it away. It was rather an expensive few sips.
  
  The area where we sat was decorated like someone's funky hippy chic living room. Everything is painted in bright colors, with lots of little signs, some comfortable chairs and the like.
  
  There's another small side room off the main one inside that is a "shop" with lots of things for sale -- it was fun to browse.
  
  It was nice that you're allowed to sit and be leisurely there. I saw one guy camped out on his computer. We waited out some pouring rain which came on unexpectedly.
  People sat; sipped tea. Had hippie like conversations...
  
  Would I come back? Probably -- if just for that wonderful coconut cake, but this time I'd choose a different tea.

  I do not like this place. They are very rude! The girls behind the counter have such a bad attitude. Didn't even try the tea. I felt like I was bothering them.
  The gift room was ok but nothing special. I doubt I would go back and try again. Maybe it was an off day but in no rush to return.
  I think it was the manager who was obnoxious which is not good for a business.

  No prices posted. Manager rude when I asked for my coffee to be served a simple way (milk on the side) Splenda instead of maple syrup.
  You go thru 3 paper straws because they fall apart
  Ask  about the ingredients in a pastry.... Coconut flour and cacao nibs..... What else? What sweetener? They don't know.  The manager touched mine with her hands, the wax paper not covering it.

  My cousin lives in downtown Delray and was really excited to take me here and I've never been. Upon arriving I noticed that parking was limited and confusing, however it's downtown Delray so what should I expect? Inside is so cute and reminds you of a hippy living room, which I love. The tea room or where you would place an order is overwhelming with different types of tea leaves and funky trinkets. The menu is written on a chalk board and posted on the wall. What stuck out to me is there was no prices posted anywhere? Strange. However the girl who worked there and took out order was very pleasant and able to answer all of our questions along with make wonderful suggestions. I ordered the avocado toast and cold press ice coffee. $21 later I was able to experience my lunch. The coffee was good, sweetened with maple syrup and almond milk. And the avocado toast was well..just avocado toast. Portions are small and not worth the cost however the atmosphere makes the whole experience a memorable one. The whole vibe is cool and the food is ok, the prices are excessive but overall this place is worth at least one visit.
